Levaqun is a member of the quinolone family of antibiotics. It is prescribed to treat bacterial infections affecting the lungs, urinary tract, and skin. It is available only by prescription and is manufactured by Ortho-Mcneil Pharmaceuticals. It was approved by the FDA for public use in 1996.
